For many years, my work has explored the drawing and dissolution of boundaries, the relationship between the familiar and the uncanny, between inside and outside, between the hidden and the revealed. Curtain-like structures often serve as an expression of rigid domesticity. In recent years, I have used a hot glue gun to create three-dimensional wall and floor installations from silicone threads, layered in finely colored fragments.
Upon closer inspection of these works, a certain sense of unease arises: The spun silicone appears like delicately curled threads of something untangled, yet simultaneously resembles an interwoven fabric. Thus, on an abstract level, the tension between dissolution and the multifaceted interplay of social aspects becomes apparent.

"Notion" 2022, exhibition view. HD film 6 min, music: kiss of
death by kadir demir (Artlist)
In the cinematic self-portrait, my figure disappears behind a colored silicone fabric. The kaleidoscopic presentation gives the film a textile feel and resembles a Persian carpet pattern.
